About Dr. Guggenheim
Isadora Guggenheim graduated from Columbia College with a B.A. and the highest departmental award in Dance. She created her own dance company, served as an Artist-In-Residence in the public school system and was awarded an NEA choreographic fellowship.
After several years of choreographing and performing, Isadora studied at the Swedish Institute of Massage in Manhattan and became a licensed massage therapist. She maintained
a successful private practice, Personal Excellence Massage, and was featured in several magazines (Glamour, Redbook, Allure) because of her expertise in prenatal and medical massage. Her clientele was internationally diverse and included diplomats, Wall Street movers, celebrities, media leaders, entertainment impresarios and healthcare professionals. She was an invited massage therapist to participate in the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, Canada.
Dr. Guggenheim began her naturopathic medical studies at the University of Bridgeport, CT. Isadora was the first naturopathic medical student to be invited to study at the world renowned Lukas Klinik, an anthroposophical cancer hospital, in Switzerland. She studied alternative cancer treatments using Iscador, an injectable form of mistletoe. She witnessed the specialized biannual production of Iscador, the most widely used cancer treatment in Europe, which was her thesis topic. Guggenheim was well-received in Switzerland and was offered a fellowship to continue oncology studies after her graduation from medical school.
Guggenheim precepted with Dr. James D’Adamo, Sr., the blood type guru, in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Isadora studied infectious disease at Englewood Hospital with Dr. Tom Birch and precepted for six months at the Callen Lorde Center in NYC. Callen Lorde was the largest HIV/AIDS out-patient clinic in the country. In her last year of medical school, Dr. Guggenheim obtained a master’s in nutrition and graduated with her ND in 2003.
After graduation, Dr. Guggenheim continued her study of biotherapeutic cellular drainage with Dr. Gueniot of France. She completed her post-doc certification in Environmental Medicine with Dr. Walter Crinnion, a leading environmental detoxification expert in the country. She created Second Nature Naturopathic Care, LLC and practices in association with Dr. Janis L. Enzenbacher of Piermont Gynecology. Dr. Guggenheim is a board-certified and licensed Clinical Nutritionist in New York State.
