According to the article, GNC "knowingly sold" fat burner supplements that contained picamilon - a prescription drug from Russia that is used to treat neurological conditions. GNC also sold weight-loss supplements that contained a synthetic amphetamine-like chemical called BMPEA or Beta-methylphenethylamine.
GNC is on the legal hot seat because of selling unlawful and unsafe ingredients from third party vendors.
Shareholders are not happy as the stock plunged 15%.
