Roughly 50 million Americans are suffering with autoimmune diseases. An autoimmune disease can be caused by an immune deficiency or over activity. In the case of a deficiency the body is vulnerable and not able to fight infection, whereas with an over active immune system the body will attack its own tissues or self.

Autoimmune diseases can result from a single trigger, or layer upon layer of stressors that add up and lead to a breakdown in the gut and then lead to an immune system flare up.

Genetics play a key role in developing an autoimmune disease. One of the more well known autoimmune diseases is Celiac's. Celiac causes the body to launch an immune response in the gut to a protein found in wheat gluten. Variation in human leukocyte antigen (HLA) predisposes to celiac. There are several genetic variants that predispose a person to an autoimmune disease. By distinguishing the predisposition, treatment can then include suppression of a specific amplifier.

Nutrition is also a factor in autoimmune disease development. Foods that cause damage to the gut through an inflammatory reaction include: dairy, gluten-containing grains, sugars and nightshade plants (i.e. tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, and potatoes).

The majority of the immune system lives in the intestinal microbiome, an ecosystem of trillions of bacterial colonies. This microbiome controls the immune system, brain, hormones, and genetic expression. Alterations in the microbiome can lead to "leaky gut" and "leaky gut" is another predisposition. This could be caused by food allergies, pathogens or medications that alter the gut lining.

Environmental exposures to heavy metals can lead to the development of autoimmune diseases as well. We offer environmental detoxification with I.V. chelation to remove heavy metals, I.V. ozone and ozone inhalation, specific formulas for specific exposures like: asbestos, PAH's, etc., colonics, medical foods to reduce systemic inflammation, RIFE machine and recommended saunas.

I order celiac panels, celiac genomics and individual food allergies. We do aggressive gut clean up with diet, nutraceuticals, colonics and more colonics.  When the neurological line get crossed we do I.V. ozone therapies to repair nerve damage. We offer Good Gut Probiotics.

GOOD GUT products change your gut flora in just one day with high dose probiotics, repair and detox miracles for the gut.  These formulas have a dramatic effect on your bacteria's behavior through the microbiome-gut-brain axis.

Your gut bacteria secretes hormones involved in mood like dopamine and serotonin.  These manipulative bugs can change your taste receptor expression, tell you if you are full and what food you want.  They can produce toxins to make you feel bad and release chemical rewards to make you feel good.

The good news is that you can take back control of your hijacked immune system with GOOD GUT products, our RX meds for the vagus nerve connection and dietary changes.  http://www.secondnaturecare.com/good-gut-probiotics
