Science confirms more benefits for the use of cannabidiol oil. The University of Alabama at Birmingham Cannabidiol Program studied the effects of cannabidiol oil on seizure reduction in adults and children.

The studies found that approximately 50 percent of the participants in the study responded to the CBD oil therapy with improvement in seizure control across a six- month period.

Seizure incidence declined between 32-45 percent depending on the dosage and two of the patients were seizure free.

CBD oil is a derivitive of the cannabis plant and it is administered orally or as a topical oil. The reduction or elimination of seizures paves way for treatment of patients with severe epilepsy.

With New York's newly legalized medicinal marijuana program, patients suffering with seizures and epilepsy can have access to this medicine.

Each new study illustrates more about the amazing benefits this plant has to offer to patients.

Medical marijuana is no longer out of reach for any New Yorker. Cannabis has healing properties including analgesic, anti-emetic, anti-oxidative, anti- inflammatory and modulation of glial cells and tumor growth.

If you feel as though you would benefit from it's use, you can head over to Piermont Gynecology. Dr. Enzenbacher is licensed and certified for medical marijuana consults. Call (914) 325-1664 to schedule your consult.
