Depression - More Than Emotional Pain

Are you suffering with depression and chronic back pain?

Most people know the symptoms that come along with living with depression. Difficulty concentrating, fatigue, helplessness, insomnia, sadness, anxiousness etc..  Depression brings along a laundry list of other symptoms that cause physical side effects as well as causing aches and pains, headaches and cramps.

We know that aches and pains can be associated with depression, but new research has confirmed that link.

If you are battling with depression you know that emotional pain is not all you have to fight. If you are waking up every day and getting on the front line to face your depression you might also be waking up with aches in pains in your back.

A new study has shown that depression may actually trigger back pain. In fact, people with depression are about 60% more likely to have back pain in their life. The link is so closely related that the higher the severity of the depression, the more likely to develop the pain. This suggests that thousands of cases of back pain could be caused by a patient's depression.

So what can you do?

Well if you haven't already, stop eating gluten. The effects of ingesting gluten can take a toll on a person's life. Celiac or non-celiac gluten-sensitivity could be causing or making your depression worse. Gluten can cause anxiety and depression due to the way it reacts in the brain. Gluten could also be the culprit of your digestive problems that you have been associating with depression. It has been studied with higher reports of depression in those who ingested gluten then a placebo.

Exercise, exercise, exercise! If any one has seen "Legally Blond" you know exercise increases endorphins and endorphins make you happy! Routine exercise has matched the health effects of some anti-depression medications.

It is no secret that depression is associated with the gut. Eating foods with positive effects on your intestinal microbiome can provide great improvement in depression symptoms.

We use I.V. ozone successfully for systemic pain and inflammation. I.V. Ozone with injectable Traumeel in the bag brings immediate relief to our patients.
