One of the best treatments is ozone chelation. Both therapies been shown to reverse Type II diabetes. Chelation removes heavy metals that cause cardiovascular disease and free radical activity. Ozone kills pathogens that damages organ systems including the pancreas. The National Institutes of Health TACT Trial to Assess Chelation Therapy showed that 37% of patients with diabetes out of a total of 1700 patients had a 41% reduction in cardiac events, 52% drop in recurrent myocardial infarctions and 43% reduction of deaths. Chelation should become mainstream treatment for Type II diabetes. We have specialized medicines to stabilize blood sugar regulation that can be added to your treatment. Momordica, Leptandra, Chelidonium are a few injectables to mention.

Answer Key:
1. None of the answers is correct – all are effects. Ranolazine has many applications beyond that for which it was approved – chronic angina.
2. Both answers are correct. However, statin use also decreases overall mortality in both types of patients, outweighing the small (19-24%) risk of diabetes. I don't think 24% is a small risk. It is almost one quarter.
3. True. Osteoarthritis is also associated with obesity and metabolic syndrome. I recommend Xymogen's SynovX Metabolic for the overweight patient with metabolic insulin resistance and osteoarthritis.
4. 5. The PHQ-9 can be used in 2-stage screening in primary care to identify patients with type 2 diabetes for further psychological evaluation.
5. Decreases peak blood glucose [Gmax] after the meal. Overall daily control is not significantly improved.
