Which gene was found to be associated with asthma?

Asthma causes the airways of the lungs to swell and become narrow. The lining of the air passages swell and the muscles surrounding the airways become tight reducing the amount of air that can pass. Wheezing, shortness of breath, coughing and chest tightness occur. Asthma triggers range from pet hair or dander, dust, changes in the weather, even Aspirin/NSAIDS, chemicals in the air or food, exercise, mold, pollen, stress and tobacco smoke are other common triggers.

Family history is a strong factor in the development of Asthma. Genome scans for asthma have identified significant linkages on 17 different chromosomes, including the chromosome housing the vitamin D receptor VDR gene. A family history of allergies such as hay fever or eczema play a role.

Second Nature Care Naturopathic Medicine for Asthma:

Early identification means early treatment interventions. Naturopathic treatment interventions with probiotics, dietary changes (remove corn, wheat, dairy, bananas, chocolate), mushroom extracts, and NAC can all prevent progression towards asthma.

We offer ozone inhalation, insufflation and I.V. Ozone with specific medicines for asthma. We do needle-less ear insufflation to treat ear infections without antibiotics.
