Endometriosis linked to Ovarian Cancer

Endometriosis and Ovarian Cancer.

Endometriosis shares characteristics with malignancy such as the development of local and distant foci, and attachment to and invasion of other tissues with subsequent damage to these tissues. It is characterized by recurrent and unregulated cell proliferation and estrogen-dependent growth. Low-grade carcinoma – particularly of the endometrioid and clear cell histologic subtypes – originate largely from ovarian endometriotic lesions or from borderline serous tumors in the case of serous histology. The other type, a high-grade serous carcinoma, appears to arise in many cases in the epithelium of the fallopian tube. The majority of diagnosed stage 1 ovarian cancers are carcinomas of this low-grade type and not high grade serous carcinomas. In addition to genetic and epigenetic influences other factors that may be associated with malignant transformation or a patient’s predisposition may include immunologic, inflammatory, and hormonal factors.Complete surgical resection of all visible endometriosis is thought to be the most effective treatment and will afford the best cancer prevention, even in women who are asymptomatic. However; I just got back from the annual international ozone conference this past weekend and they are offering intraperotineal ozone treatments in Mexico and Spain as treatment for ovarian cancer. It would stand to reason that this treatment could be used to reduce or eliminate inflammation associated to endometriosis too.

The Cubans have perfected another natural chemotherapy that involved scorpion venom made from the blue and red scorpions. It is an oral medicine that is taken several times a day in water. More on that later. The Cubans have excellent statistical data on ozone treatments for cancer, asthma, renal disease and several other conditions. There analysis compares and illuminates the kinds of ozone administered, the volume and the strength of the ozone. Dr. E. and I will be integrating this new proved information into advanced cancer treatments.

We work with our patients to create an anti-inflammatory diet and recommend beneficial nutraceticals to reduce inflammation and turn off cancer cells and chronic disease patterns.  We can modulate your immune system and balance your hormones.

1.Endometriosis shows some characteristics of malignancy including which of the following?

B. Attachment to and invasion of other tissues with subsequent damage to them
C. A and B

2. Low-grade carcinoma originates largely from _____________________________.

A. The epithelium of the fallopian tube
B. Ovarian endometriotic lesions
C. Borderline serous tumor
D. B or C

3. True or False. The majority of diagnosed stage 1 ovarian cancers are due to the high-grade serous carcinomas, and not the low-grade type.

A. True
B. False

4. Although it is not clear what causes malignant transformation or what predisposes some patients with endometriosis to develop ovarian cancer, the risk likely involves genetic and epigenetic influences as well as which of the following factors?

A. Immunologic
B. Inflammatory
C.Hormonal
   D. All of the above

5. True or False. While there are several treatment approaches, complete surgical resection of all visible endometriosis is the most effective treatment and will afford the best cancer prevention, even in women who are asymptomatic.

A. True
B. False

Endometriosis is a serious autoimmune condition in which uterine tissue grows outside the uterus.  That causes lesions in the ovaries, fallopian tubes, abdominal lining and affects the bowel and bladder. Translocated or misplaced tissue causes inflammation and extreme debilitating pain. It can take a doctor up to 10 years from the onset of pain to give a diagnosis of endometriosis because they don't believe it affects teens.

Did you know that 89 million women worldwide including 6.5 million in the US have endometriosis?

We have safe and effective treatments to prevent the formation of adhesions and endometriosis.  We use advanced ozone injections into the abdomen for immediate pain relief.
