Most people start their New Years Resolutions off with the goal of being healthier in the upcoming year.

Everyone runs to get a gym membership, but when you live in a Rockland County you don't need to.

Walking is a great way to start your journey to a healthier you. Walking helps to reduce body fat, lower blood pressure and increases high-density lipoprotein.

My daughter moved back from Australia and she got a dog, Sydney, who has to be walked 3 times a day. The dog, her fitbit and great motivation to lose some extra pounds is working.

Walking is a great way to not only maintain a healthy weight, but to prevent or manage various conditions, such as heart disease, high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes. It strengthens your bones and muscles, improves mood, balance and coordination.

If you are intimidated to go to the gym or just love nature, walking around your local park is a perfect way to get the best of both worlds. Most residents of Rockland County have the option to walk to there local park. You are helping the environment and you!

Thanks to Teddy Roosevelt, over 30% of our acreage in Rockland County is preserved park lands.

Let's not only take care of our health, but take steps towards making our environment healthier and pollution free.

I strongly recommend Xymogen's CurcuPlex CR, NAC and XenoProtX daily to offset environmental air exposures.
