It's been years since the BP Deepwater Horizon oil disaster in April 2010, but like the murky waters of the Mississippi, the effects of this disaster are still present today with a tremendous impact on human health.

We all followed the tortuous wake of the DeepWater Horizon spill that killed 11 and polluted the Gulf for 87 days.

Environmentalists did their best to get wildlife samples while BP added to their toxic spill with their patented chemical dispersants.  Now we are getting a better picture of the real costs.

In 2014 I read an article written by DAHR JAMAIL about a Florida fisherman named Joe Yerkes who was put out of work by the spill so he signed up and became a part of the clean-up program.  Yerkes was exposed to the oil and Corexit dispersants. Shortly after his exposure, he became violently ill.  He bled from his nose and ears and vomited blood. In medical terms he was hemorrhaging from the inside. His blood was tested and it had elevated levels of the chemicals used in the clean-up. In his words, "I have spent the years since the spill literally trying to survive."  This is a common statement from environmental survivors whether the exposure is pesticides, metals, solvents or toxic mold.

Dr. Susan Shaw, whom I know, has been actively studying chemical exposures and the impact on human health for the past three decades.  She stated, "BP's Material Safety Data Sheets for Corexit warned that the dispersant posed high and immediate human health hazards." "Five of the Corexit ingredients are linked to cancer, 33 are associated with skin irritation from rashes to burns, 33 are linked to eye irritation, 11 are, or are suspected of being, potential respiratory toxins or irritants, and 10 are suspected kidney toxins."  To boot, BP did not give adequate training to the clean-up crews and in documented cases did not allow them to use protective gear.

What is happening today? Here's a continuation of the story - Joe and 824 others, some of whom have already died are fighting in the courts. https://undark.org/2019/06/06/deepwater-horizon-dispersants/

Many others in the gulf coast communities have been tested and their blood is rich in ethylbenzene, m-,p-xylene and hexane, all volatile organic chemicals that are present in BP crude oil. Exposure to these chemicals causes liver, kidney and central nervous system damage. If levels are elevated in the blood that proves exposure beyond a shadow of a doubt.

We've seen the glossy commercials of normal life on the coast. What you don't see in the BP ads are the dead dolphins, sick tunas and near extinct sea turtles. All wildlife has been affected from insects to cardio-toxicity in fish. I guess the people are next because there has been a meteoric rise of several cancers and environmentally-related illnesses. BP spent more money on ads than they did on the clean-up.

How to detoxify your body daily:

Second Nature patients take a daily regimen of Xymogen's XenoProtX, NAC, MedCapsDPO, Green Tea600, Phosphaline 4:1, Nrf2 and DFH's DetoxAntiox and Amino-D-Tox.  We check everyone's metal and chemical baselines regularly. We offer I.V. detoxification therapies. Drink plenty of wheat grass shots.  Don't eat anything from the water. It runs deep with BP lies. Call us to order.
