MS drug is related to increased risk of certain types of cancer. It happens with most medications. Patients fall into the trap of choosing between correcting their illness and the risk of developing another health problem. We end up in a viscious cycle of ignoring the on going list of harmful side effects and taking our medication anyway because it seems better then the alternative. But this drug is not just causing dizziness and nausea.

Mitoxantrone a drug used to treat multiple sclerosis (MS) may be associated with increased risk of colorectal cancer.

First developed as a chemotherapy drug, mitoxantrone suppresses the immune system and is used for aggressive, relapsing and progressive MS as a last line of defense. Previous research has noted that the drug does increase risk of leukemia and heart damage. Leukemia rates are about 10 times higher in the people treated with mitoxantrone than the general population in Germany.

This study looked at the drug on the risks of other types of cancer and found "of the 676 people, 37 people, or 5.5 percent, were diagnosed with cancer after taking the drug, including nine people with breast cancer, seven with colorectal cancer and four with acute myeloid leukemia."

The rate of colorectal cancer was three times higher than the general population.

The study examined factors such as how much of the drug the patients received and whether or not they received any other immunosuppressant drugs. The only found an effect of age on the drug. The older the patient was at the time of receiving the treatment the higher the risk of developing cancer.

It is suggested that colonoscopies be given after treatment to increase the chance of early detection.

Ozone therapy has proven effective in the treatment of both cancer and MS. The immune system was hijacked, nefarious genes were awakened or other organ systems became impaired.  I.V. ozone is a beneficial therapy for MS. I.V. ozone alone or in conjunction with other treatments gives great results. If you are already suffering with colon or any other type of cancer you may have alternative options here at Second Nature Care. We offer safe and effective Ozone therapy.
