"Approximately 60% of children diagnosed with ADHD continue with the disorder into adulthood."ADHD symptoms such as: inability to concentrate on a single task for a length of time, impulsiveness, low stress tolerance, inner restlessness, and compulsion can complicate professional and private relationships. And they do. ADHD interferes with the person's ability to listen and be present.

Their results showed that negative memory bias, but not positive memory bias, significantly correlated with total ADHD symptoms, including both inattention and hyperactivity/impulsivity symptoms. Results also showed that age significantly correlated to the number of lifetime life events, but not to memory bias variables.

“The current study substantiates earlier suggestive findings showing associations between life events and population ADHD symptoms, and shows that such associations might be particularly driven by childhood traumatic events,” wrote Dr. Vrijsen and colleagues.

They concluded that, “biased processing of emotional information may be a marker for adult ADHD symptom severity in addition to being a risk factor for depression onset, maintenance, and recurrence.”

"Sexual dysfunctions and other sexual disorders are highly prevalent in adults with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), according to results of a recent study conducted at an outpatient adult ADHD clinic in the Netherlands. Researchers found that 39% of men and 43% of women with ADHD had symptoms of a sexual dysfunction, while 17% of men and 5% of women ADHD patients had symptoms of a sexual disorder."

“For example, continuous distractedness and inattentiveness may result in decreased sexual arousal and orgasmic problems.”

“Sexual aversion may be the result of negative sexual experiences in the past and can be associated with low self-esteem, fear of intimacy, and insufficient relational skills, which are all more prevalent in ADHD patients. However, we do not know if this is also the case in our patient sample.”

Adults with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) report a higher incidence of several different sleep problems such as self-reported restless legs and cataplexy, compared to controls without ADHD, according to results of a study published in Frontiers in Psychology.

The researchers also found strong associations between ADHD and more specific sleep disorders such as excessive daytime sleepiness, cataplexy, loud snoring, breathing pauses during sleep, restless legs, and periodic limb movement during sleep. Maybe people with ADHD have lower oxygen levels and would benefit from ozone therapies.

"Social anxiety disorder (SAD) occurs frequently in adults with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), with a comorbidity rate as high as 40%".

What is behind all of these published statistics and findings? Clinically, I find patients with ADHD have elevated lead and mercury levels. Lead and mercury cross the blood brain barrier and are responsible for mood disorders. Depression and Anxiety. I do a 6 hour provocative urine challenge to see what is stored in tissue storage and run blood baseline labs to differentiate between acute and chronic storage. It's amazing what we store in the body. Lead is the progenitor of depression, arthritis, renal disease, plaque in the arteries, macular degeneration and asthma to name a few. Mercury can cause cardiac dysrhythmias, thyroid issues, anxiety, impulsiveness and both lead and mercury are associated with ADHD.

We offer I.V. Ozone chelation to clean up your total body burden. We do appropriate metal testing, reconstruct your diet, recommend supportive daily nutraceuticals and share self care detoxification tips (home ozone therapy, home colonics, sauna and immersion baths).
