Stop Compromising for Conventional testosterone Replacement Therapy

Testosterone replacement therapy may reap benefits for patients, but what is it taking away? Are the risks worth it or is it time to try something new?

The scale for risk and gain on testosterone replacement therapy may be a little one sided. When testosterone levels are low you could be experiencing low energy, fatigue, erectile dysfunction, poor libido, decreased muscle mass, irritability and depression, hair loss and difficulty with concentration.

With a laundry list of symtoms caused by low testosterone it might seem like testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is a no brainer. Low testosterone? Let's raise it, right? Well, not necessarily.

Research is being conducted in growing numbers to support the use of phytotherapuetic alternatives (herbal medicines) over the use of conventional TRT.

A number phytotherapeutic agents can be used as a safe alternative. These agents increase testosterone production through gonadatrophic actions. The herbs may be able to improve sexual functions and some even improve fertility.T. They can increase the production of testosterone, improve sexual function and fertility, increase anabolic activities and contain anticancer properties.

Conventional TRT increases the risk of prostate cancers, and supresses pituitary secretion of gonadotrophic hormones that results in testicular atrophy and infertility.

Here are some of the phytotherapuetic agents that could help you without hurting you:

Safe Herbal Treatment for Testosterone Replacement

Epimedium sagittatum (aka horny goat weed extract) was shown in animal studies to improve the condition of the reproductive organs and increase testosterone circulation. Improved sexual function and quality of life improvements are even seen in people suffering from chronic disease.

Mucuna pruriens raises the level of both testosterone and LH. This greatly improves sexual function, libido and sperm count.

Tribulus terrestris (ghoku fruit extract) promotes testosterone production with positive results from the studies conducted. In a test conducted on primates there was a significant increase in production levels, sexual behavior and a significant effect on sperm count as well.

Eurycoma longifolia promotes production as well and has been proven in human and animal studies.

Panax ginseng may also aid in sperm production.

With an increased risk of prostate cancer and male breast cancer associated with the use of TRT you should question whether it is worth it. Or should you be thinking about trying a healthier alternative that actually contains anticancer properties. Talk to your Naturopathic physician about your concerns and your treatment options.

At Second Nature Care we can guide you on your journey through alternative medicines. We won't judge you and your body will thank you with increased energy and libido!

This is the year to bring back your health potential.
