Coenzyme Q10, B2 and magnesium for migraine prophylaxis.
A group of physicians conducted an observational study to examine the effect of a proprietary supplement containing feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium L.), CoQ10, and magnesium for migraine prophylaxis.
The study assessed patients suffering from migraine after a one-month baseline phase, supplemented with one tablet of 100 mg feverfew, 100 mg coenzyme Q10 and 112.5 mg magnesium per day for 3 months. The results found that migraine was significantly reduced after supplementation. The study also found that patients with anxiety and depressive symptoms were significantly decreased as well. A better quality of life was observed.
The data from this study suggests that supplementation with CoQ10 and magnesium is beneficial for adults with Migraine.
For migraines we offer a variety of I.V. Nutrient Therapies as a stand alone treatment and in complimentary conjunction to our Ozone Therapies along with supplements from Xymogen.
I recommend Xymogen's OptiMag Neuro before bed, CoQ10 Ubiquinol and BActiv in the morning with breakfast. Magnesium is utilized in over 300 biochemical reactions in our bodies. We need to supplement to keep up with supply and demand. Some individuals require anywhere from 600 mg per day up to 2400 mg.
What's the old saying? "You can never be too rich, too thin or have too much magnesium." Dr. G.
