Nail Polish and your Future Fertility

Did you know that your nail polish has an endocrine-disrupting chemical called triphenyl phosphate or TPHP for short? This chemical is added to give greater flexibility to the nail polish. What happens to TPHP? It ends up in your bloodstream and body tissues 10 to 14 hours after getting your nails polished. This chemical is linked to obesity, weight gain and is associated with reproductive and developmental issues.

Cosmetics and their ingredients are not regulated by the FDA for approval before market nor do they have to undergo safety testing. Several manufacturers, Sally Hansen, Wet n Wild and OPI all contain TPHP.
If you are outraged and moved to do something then sign the petition below from Environmental Working Group.

Click here to take action: Tell nail polish makers, including Sally Hansen, Wet n Wild and OPI to stop using the suspected endocrine disruptor TPHP in their products now!

Don't let nail polish affect your daughter's future fertility. Push for industry change. Remove TPHP from nail polish.

Sign the petition and push for industry change. Remove TPHP out of nail polish.
