Vitamin C and Stroke - Why you should test for VITAMIN C levels - I.V. Vitamin C Drips

Have you checked your vitamin C levels lately?

Make sure to get your baseline level checked because researchers have found a link between Vitamin C depletion and spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhages. An estimated one million Americans have an acute cardiac event or stroke each year. Patients with acute infections be it urinary tract infections, pneumonia or sepsis, are more likely to have a heart attack or stroke within thirty days.

Vitamin C plays a vital role in blood pressure regulation and the formation of collagen.  Collagen makes up our blood vessels and gives them a flexible element.  Vitamin C protects against infections from viruses and bacteria.  We recommend that patients take Vitamin C daily and find a comfortable daily dose somewhere between 500mg up to 3000 mg for some. The dose depends on an individual's constitution, their medical condition and bowel tolerance. Foods high in vitamin C are raw peppers, fresh oranges, orange juice, black currents, citrus fruits and parsley. High vitamin C rich foods are not enough to provide therapeutic clinical changes so we need to take Vitamin C supplements and or I.V. Vitamin C drips.

We recommend Xymogen's Bio C 1:1 for  good absorb ability.  Most over the counter brands contain corn starch and fillers.  Vitamin C needs to be replenished daily as it is water soluble.  It comes in liquid, capsule and I.V. forms.  We offer Vitamin C drips in our Piermont office.  Step One - get your Vitamin C level tested.
