What Else is in Our Food?

Glyphosates, because GMO's weren't bad enough already.

If you haven't heard of it, GMO stands for "genetically modified organisms". This is what goes into our food. "GMO is the result of a laboratory process where genes from the DNA of one species are extracted and artificially forced into the genes of an unrelated plant or animal. The foreign genes may come from bacteria, viruses, insects, animals or even humans."

Since the introduction of GMO in our food in the 90's food allergies, autism, digestive issues and reproductive disorders have skyrocketed and animal testing of GMO yields organ failure, infertility, accelerated aging etc.

Now here are glyphosates. Glyphosate is a potent herbicide that is present in over 750 products sold in America. It is a broad spectrum systemic plant killer. It blocks the plant's production of certain proteins needed by the plant to grow. It kills plants by interfering with the shikimate pathway. This pathway is the metabolic process that bacteria, fungus, parasites and plants use to make amino acids tyrosin, tryptophan and phenylalnine. This pathway IS in fact found in bacteria and we have more bacteria in our guts than cells in our body.

The use of glyphosate increased after the introduction of genetically modified seeds that were resistant to it. It can be liberally applied to the crop without harming it. If it does not kill the plant it can be used for things such as the early ripening of fruit and managing weed growth around crops.

The wheat crops in the U.S. are also sprayed down with glyphosate to hasten the drying process so that the wheat can be harvested sooner.

This is the world's most heavily used herbicide and it is going all over our crops. Enough glyphosate is used globally to leave more then three-quarters of a pound on every harvested acre of farmland in the United States.

This is why Winter's allergies went away when she was in Italy. They don't use glyphosate in their plants.

WHO's cancer group recently published an article classifying glyphosate as a carcinogen. Glyphosate may also be contributing to the increased frequency of chronic disease. Due to the bacteria, there is also a possibility that glyphosate in our environment could be directly correlated with increased leaky gut syndrome, depression, obesity, IBS and Alzheimer's disease.  Several studies link GMO consumption to infertility, immune impairments, accelerated aging, cholesterol synthesis impairments, insulin dysregulation, damage to cell signaling and protein formation with associated changes in the liver, kidney, spleen and gastrointestinal system.

Eating organic is becoming more important everyday. The chemicals in our foods are literally killing us. Changing to a gluten free, non-GMO lifestyle could change your life. They are destroying the gut. http://www.secondnaturecare.com/good-gut-probiotics

Glyphosates prevents animals and humans from detoxifying numerous chemicals in our food and the environment.
