Results: Compared to placebo, NSO groups showed significant improvement in mean Asthma Control Test score 21.1 versus 19.6 with a significant reduction in blood eosinophils by -50 versus 15 cells, NSO improved forced expiratory volume in 1 second as percentage of predicted value oby 4 versus 1. Clearly, NSO improved asthma control with a trend of improving pulmonary function.
There are plans to do a long term study in a multicenter trial.
