What are peptides?

Peptides are a type of pharmaceutical medication. They are defined as a sequence of amino acids less than 40 amino acids long. Peptides and proteins serve as the body’s natural signaling molecules similar to hormones.  By mimicking the peptides found in the body or replacing them similar to hormone replacement therapy, you can affect disease and promote health in your life.

Peptides are key tools in reversing chronic disease patterns. We always start with I.V. Ozone, UVBI ultraviolet blood irradiation and biologics from Germany. Once we have addressed pathogens of fungal, bacterial and viral nature, reviewed your labs - peptides are the next right step. These work much faster and are much less expensive than stem cells. Like surgery, stem cells need to be chosen very carefully for very aggressive diseases like MS, uncontrolled Lupus, RA and ALS, but there are many first start choices that are more accessible and affordable.

Thymosin Alpha-1 (Tα1), a 28-amino acid peptide, was first described and characterized from calf thymuses in 1977. It is a peptide that can enhance T-cell, dendritic cell (DC) and antibody responses, modulate cytokines and chemokines production and block steroid-induced apoptosis of thymocytes. Due to its pleiotropic biological activities, Tα1 has gained increasing interest in recent years and has been used for the treatment of various diseases in clinics.

WHICH PATIENTS WOULD BENEFIT FROM THIS?

Thymosin Alpha is one of the most widely applicable peptides available. It can be used for infectious diseases such as COVID-19, Hepatitis B and C, EBV, and many others. It can be used in autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, Hashimoto’s, Lupus and others to reduce systemic inflammation. It has been studied and been given orphan drug status to help treat malignant melanoma and has positive data in most cancers. It even can help improve the immune system as we age and is a great resource for immunosenescence or aging.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Thymosin Alpha-1 is a very pleiotropic peptide with many mechanisms of action. However, all of these actions work to help improve the immune system!
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS? Thymosin has an excellent safety record. In treatment of more than 10,000 patients with a range of diseases including hepatitis B and hepatitis C, Zadaxin has been well tolerated and is not associated with any significant side effects. Thymosin Alpha-1 has been administered without adverse incident to elderly subjects (up to 101), children (as young as 13 months), and immunodeficient patients. Patients with decompensated liver disease and renal disease requiring hemodialysis show good tolerance to Thymosin Alpha-1 administration.

HOW IS IT OFFERED? Self-administered Injections or via I.V. Normal Saline in our office.

Thymosin Alpha-1 is offered as a 5ml vial. Each ml of liquid contains a concentration of 3mg. The vial is a multiuse vial which contains a total of 15mg.

How often do I administer my injections? Thymosin Alpha-1 is administered twice a week at a dose of 1.5 mg for 3 months.

Does this mean I have to go to the doctor's office twice a week? NO. We teach you how to safely administer your injections, we supply the syringes, needles, sharps container and medicines for 3 months. Once we feel you have the injection technique down, signed the consent forms and all of your questions are answered then you get all of your take home supplies. We are only a phone call away or office visit if needed. Everyone in my practice knows that I return every phone call the same day. Try getting your primary care dr., a surgeon, or lawyer on the phone the same day.

Live long and strong with ozone therapies and peptides.
