tick drawings from the CDC-2If you've been in practice long enough you definitely see Lyme and other tick-borne infections.

Lyme affects every organ system. Treatment requires addressing hormones, brain chemistry, adrenal exhaustion, heavy metals and other circulating pathogens.

Chronic disease is complex and complicated.
This is sadly a typical occurrence now.  I'm contacted by a new patient who wants to come in to be treated for post-Lyme residue. This means that s/he was originally treated with several rounds of antibiotics over several weeks, used alternative medicine for years and s/he is still experiencing Lyme symptoms.

We have successfully resolved Lyme and other co-infections with I.V. Ozone, UVBI and German Biologics. Long-term antibiotics make patients worse and in fact push the pathogens deeper into tissue storage. Our method lures the pathogens out of tissue storage where the ozone can bomb it in the blood stream.

I'll first test for present Lyme infection, Babesia, Bartonella and Ehrlichiosis co-infections. We'll also test for adrenal function, urine toxic metals, thyroid panels, DHEA, estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, magnesium levels, gastrointestinal flora and function, neurological testing through physical exam (heel to toe walking) and genetic testing (DRB-HLA, an evaluation of 10 genes on the 6th chromosome linked to genetic vulnerabiliity to neurotoxins and MTHFR defects).

When you build a solid house you want to lay a good foundation so the house will stand.  I always begin with the gut and correct any leaky gut issues with high quality and quantity of probiotics, immunoglobulins, L-glutamine and colostrum. Once gut permeability is secured I go after the pathogens, heavy metals and lastly, correct hormone imbalances.

Most Lyme patients experience neurotoxicity. Lyme also creates hypothalamic dysregulation that affects sleep, temperature tolerance, weight gain or loss, appetite, thirst, hydration, fluid balance and pain. Lyme causes systemic chronic inflammation and inflammation is what we all want to avoid.

Because Lyme is a chronic illness that affects multiple major organs, I recommend that you sign up for our comprehensive blood work analysis called Know Thyself. The report covers over 500 data points. I can tell you if you have lyme and what damage it's done. Then we can start the process of getting you to a post-Lyme state.
