Vaccines vs. Homeopathy
While vaccines can manage epidemics, they have limitations. For example, what if there are multiple epidemics going on simultaneously? Would we offer multiple vaccines at the same time? Would there be a higher risk of vaccine–related adverse effects? And while we do have the funding it is limited and there is insufficient funding for vaccines like TB, HIV ad malaria.
So, why consider homeopathy during epidemics?
Homeopathy is highly effective and works immediately. It is safe for all age ranges, they are easily administered, and they are inexpensive. Homeopathic remedies aim to boost the immune system, a genetic mutation of a pathogen will not make fining the correct homeopathic remedy impossible. During an epidemic where the organism cannot be identified, homeopathy can still offer many benefits since it relies on the signs and symptoms of the disease, not the organism causing it.
The Evidence
Throughout history, homeopathy has exceeded other therapies during epidemics. Todd Hoover, MD, states “Homeopathic practice during massive epidemics throughout the world has been a gold standard for showing the efficiency of potentized remedies.” The Spanish flu killed 30-50 million people, however; patients under homeopathic care the fatality rate was 0.7%. While those under conventional medicine had a 6% fatality rate.
