Autoimmune

There are so many things that can affect autoimmune diseases.

Here are a few of the key factors.

1. STRESS - "Up to 80% of autoimmune patients experienced excessive emotional stress before the onset of their disease. " (Meletis, 2022) Chronic stress can also cause dysbiosis of the intestinal microbiota.

2. ADRENAL FUNCTION - Adrenal gland dysfunction can manifest as either Addison's Disease or Cushing's Syndrome.  In adrenal fatigue a persons cortisol levels become dysregulated.

3. NAD+ - Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide. A metabolic intermediate used as a cofactor by many important enzymes. NAD+  regulates inflammation and immune system health and protects against inflammation that occurs during autoimmune conditions that can occur due to aging.

4. Vitamin D - Maintaining adequate vitamin D levels plays an important role in health immune responses.
