Brain disease with memory loss due to Dementia and Alzheimers illness as medical icon of a tree shaped as human head and brain losing leaves as concept of intelligence decline.

What’s the connection?

At the start of the pandemic researchers saw suspiciously high rates of dementia patients suffering from severe COVID-19 symptoms. Original it was presumed that due to memory impairments were affecting the patient’s ability to properly maintain safety protocols such as social distancing or mask wearing. (Haridy, 2021)

Researchers, thanks to a study led by scientists at the University College London, now propose that a gene variant known to heighten Alzheimer’s risk may also be responsible for heightened COVID risk.(Haridy, 2021)   In 2019 genes associated with higher risk of Alzheimer’s were discovered, one of these being the OAS1 gene, which also correlated with risk of severe COVID-19 symptoms.

This discovery may lead to a way to identify patients who are at higher risk of Alzheimer’s and severe COVID-19 symptoms. We offer safe effective proven I.V.
