Medical Mushrooms play an important role in the treatment of cancer. In the past decade, the use of mushrooms has attracted much attention in the efforts to understand their various benefits and the ways in which they influence cancer prevention.  A relatively large number of studies have indicated that mushrooms affect cancer via multiple pathways. Trametes versicolor also known as turkey tail, is the most widely researched of all the medicinal mushrooms. It is distributed around the United States and most other countries. Medicinal use in Chinese medicine dates back 2000 years.

Turkey Tail contains polysaccharide K and polysaccharopeptides which boost natural killer cell production, improve side effects from chemotherapy and radiation therapy, and enhances survival rates in patients with cancers of the stomach, colon and liver in combination with conventional treatments.

Lentinula edodes also know as shiitake mushroom is the most popular edible mushroom worldwide and has been approved as an intravenous biological response modulator in both Japan and China for cancer treatments since the 1980's.

The third mushroom, Ganoderma lucidum, also known as Reishi has been used as treatment in all types and stages of cancer. It has been shown to positively impact quality of life as subjects achieved an increase in performance status after taking Reishi, as compared to control groups. mushroom

Our patients with cancer take standardized mushroom formulas and extracts along with I.V. Ozone MAH, Medical Marijuana, German Biologics and Peptides.
